1978

Our roots

Our history begins in 1978 when the Mazzucato brothers founded F.M. Curvati, taking advantage of the advice and teachings of their father, a professional carpenter.

The company’s production and commercial debut is related to the production of curved mouldings for furniture and furnishings. During these years of challenges and experimentation, F.M. Curvati is “only” a small family-run artisan business among many others in Italy.

Soon, however, the passion and determination of the partners become the key to the company’s successful growth.

F.M. Curvati sees an interesting market opportunity in the world of chairs and decides to focus on it.

1984

Business was immediately flourishing and the company enjoyed a considerable increase in orders and a broadening of its market boundaries..

F.M. Curvati is growing rapidly, needs to innovate its production systems and, above all, needs a new, spacious headquarters.

1984
1988

1988 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s history.

The forward-looking management leads the company to become a pioneer in technological innovation in its sector, purchasing new machinery, including a revolutionary 4-axis pantograph. Here is the turning point: the new equipment makes it possible to produce wooden monocoques with increasingly complex geometries.

2000

Years of great development and satisfaction. F.M. Curvati moves to a new headquarters and works at a fast pace.

F.M. Curvati has now become an established player on the Italian industrial panorama, as well as an important part of “Made in Italy” production worldwide. The company’s success is the result of boldness, passion, perseverance and experience.

2000
From 2004 onwards

The products moulded by F.M. Curvati are in demand and sold in several European countries and overseas..

In the new headquarters there is an outstanding protagonist in production: a sophisticated 5-axis pantograph..

The limits in the production of curved multilayer wood are just an old memory, now the company also takes into consideration the more complex requirements of architects and designers, thus expanding its areas of competence from design furniture to wellness.

From 2004 onwards
Today

With over 40 years’ experience in the manufacture of products for third parties, F.M. Curvati is expanding its business horizons with a new idea: retail sales through e-commerce.
